This piece was done on the winner of Ink Master Season 15, Bobby Johnson (@glendalebully). Long before winning Ink Master, Bobby has been renowned in the tattoo industry and is widely recognized as one of the most influential tattooers. Having looked up to Bobby since her apprenticeship, Deanna was beyond honored to do a piece for him. This design features a negative space sun providing intrigue to the piece. The gaze of the portrait, the flow of the hair, and the position of the hand and shoulder all create a visual map for the viewer. The wings, though beautiful, are secondary to the face, showing Deanna's mastery of understanding the respective importance of elements in a design with multiple. By Deanna James.
