This full front panel was created for Lisa, one of Renan’s longtime clients from Switzerland and a former bodybuilder who gave him complete artistic freedom to explore beauty and strength through tattooing. Rather than beginning with a central subject, Renan began with the body itself, first creating a fully freehand ornamental framework tailored directly to her anatomy. Designed like a bespoke suit, the black structure follows the natural curves of the body while creating powerful visual focal points across the torso. Once healed, illustrative red florals were layered into the composition, creating a stunning mix of bold, ornamental blackwork and painterly imagery. The project became a highly collaborative journey built on mutual trust and constant artistic evolution. This piece is one of the clearest examples of Renan’s belief that tattooing should remain free from rigid categories, demonstrating how anatomy, ornament, illustration, and artistic experimentation can merge into a single composition that feels both unique and timeless.
