Saint Michael Half Sleeve

This piece, the start of a full sleeve, was done over 3 consecutive days. It depicts Saint Michael the Archangel, wielding a spear. It's a striking example of depth and flow. The spear and positioning of the figure shape the upper arm, starting the viewer's attention in the face, and bringing it down through the piece. A subtle drop shadow from the spear gives the piece layers. This is also a great example of how Grease is able to beautifully render work on darker skin tones, using higher contrast and focusing on light and dark sections. By Grease.
