Serenity

This sleeve combines birds and contemporary floral elements into a composition centered around freedom, beauty, and movement. Created for a client whose calm and serene personality became an important part of the creative process, the design was developed with a strong emphasis on openness and breathing room, allowing each element to flow naturally across the arm. Rather than relying on heavy ornamental structures, the background is built through soft transitions and atmospheric shading that connect the subjects while preserving a sense of airiness and lightness throughout the composition. Widely shared across tattoo communities at the time of its completion, the piece remains one of Renan’s favorite sleeves for its balance between elegance and visual impact, demonstrating how restraint, harmony, and carefully placed negative space can be just as powerful as complexity.
