The Deanna James New Artist Symposium Scholarship

We’ve received overwhelming support for our Symposiums, and to give something back, we’re bringing one tattoo artist to the Eden Winter Symposium completely on us.

This scholarship will be given to a new tattoo artist (tattooing four years or less) who would like to go to the Symposium, but otherwise would not have the financial means to attend.

The recipient of the scholarship will be hand-chosen by Deanna. She is looking to identify an artist with great artistic promise, and who, with access to continued tattoo education at the Symposium, has a great potential to make a large mark on and positively affect the tattoo industry.


The recipient of the scholarship will receive an all expenses paid trip to the 2025 Eden Summer Symposium, including:

  • Ticket to attend the Eden Summer Symposium, June 28-30

  • 3 night stay at the venue, the Hyatt Regency Frisco -Dallas

  • Up to $500 flight credit towards flight to event *if needed

  • $150 for transportation to and from the venue and food for the weekend

To apply, you will need to prepare the following information:

- Complete the application questions via the button below and attach 2 pictures of your favorite pieces of art (any medium) that you have created.

- Create a video with the following information:

  • Where are you from?

  • Give us a brief summary of your tattoo career.

  • Tell us about your goals and how you think attending the Symposium would help you achieve them.

  • Tell us why you think you should be chosen to receive this scholarship.

Applications must be submitted by <new date> in order to be considered. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. The winner will be notified via email.

*Please note only applicants who have been tattooing (needle to skin) four years or less will be considered.
